Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short introduction to Kigali. Today is the highlight of your Rwanda safari.
After an early breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers.
Groups are allocated according to fitness levels before entering the forest in search of one of the habituated mountain gorilla families.
The trek may last anywhere from one to eight hours depending on the gorillas' location. Along the way, your ranger will interpret animal tracks, forest vegetation, and signs of recent gorilla activity.
Once the gorillas are located, spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, play, groom, and interact with one another.
