Safari Overview

This 10-day Uganda safari offers a well-rounded journey through some of the country’s most iconic natural and cultural highlights. Starting and ending at Entebbe International Airport, the safari combines primate tracking, scenic mountain trekking, rich wildlife viewing, and cultural experiences.

The journey begins with a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, one of the best destinations in East Africa for primate viewing. Here, you’ll explore lush tropical forests in search of wild chimpanzees, guided by experienced rangers. You’ll also enjoy a guided nature walk through the Isunga Community, located at the edge of the forest, where you’ll learn about the traditions, crafts, and way of life of local Ugandan villagers.

Next, you’ll head to the Rwenzori Mountains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rugged peaks and glacier-fed rivers. Enjoy a guided trek into the lower slopes of the mountains, where montane vegetation, unique birdlife, and stunning views provide a rewarding hiking experience.

Your safari continues to Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its diverse ecosystems ranging from savannah grasslands to volcanic crater lakes. Here, you’ll experience thrilling game drives in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, antelope, and more. You’ll also enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its dense populations of hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.

The adventure ends with a visit to Lake Mburo National Park, Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife and ideal for scenic exploration. Take part in a game drive across the rolling acacia-dotted landscape and enjoy an optional horseback safari, a rare opportunity to spot zebra, impala, and eland without a vehicle. You may also choose to engage in cultural interactions with the local Bahima community.

This safari offers a balanced mix of primate encounters, mountainous landscapes, savannah wildlife, birdwatching, and cultural insight—an ideal itinerary for travelers seeking diversity in one journey through the Pearl of Africa.
