Return to the lodge for lunch before heading to Paraa for one of Uganda’s finest wildlife boat cruises along the Victoria Nile.
The cruise offers exceptional opportunities to observe large pods of hippos, enormous Nile crocodiles basking along the riverbanks, elephants cooling off in the water, buffaloes drinking at the shoreline, and hundreds of bird species including African fish eagles, kingfishers, bee-eaters, herons and cormorants.

Day 4: Scenic Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Following breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and journey south-west through Uganda’s scenic countryside towards Kibale Forest National Park, often referred to as the primate capital of East Africa.

After arriving in Kibale, enjoy a guided nature walk through the beautiful Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community conservation project renowned for its exceptional biodiversity.

Today marks the highlight of your Uganda safari.
Following an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.
Your trek may last anywhere from two to eight hours depending on the location of your assigned gorilla family.
As you hike through dense rainforest, bamboo forests and steep mountain terrain, your guides will introduce you to Bwindi’s incredible flora and fauna.
Finally encountering a family of endangered mountain gorillas is an emotional and unforgettable experience. Spend one magical hour observing them feeding, grooming, playing and caring for their young in complete silence.

Walk through the rainforest while searching for habituated chimpanzees. Along the way, you may also see black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, olive baboons, colourful butterflies, and many bird species.
Once the chimpanzees are located, spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, groom, communicate, and play in the forest canopy.
Return to the lodge for lunch before visiting the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This guided nature walk offers excellent birdwatching opportunities, including the Great Blue Turaco, and chances to spot monkeys, butterflies, and other wildlife.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game Drive
Enjoy breakfast before driving to Queen Elizabeth National Park, taking in spectacular views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
After checking into your lodge and having lunch, head out for an exciting evening game drive across the Mweya Peninsula. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, hyenas, waterbucks, warthogs, giant forest hogs, and, if lucky, the elusive leopard.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Rwanda
Wake up early for breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing.
Your gorilla trekking adventure begins as experienced guides lead you through the dense rainforest in search of one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families.
The trek may take between two and six hours depending on the gorillas’ location. Once found, spend one unforgettable hour watching these gentle giants interact naturally in their forest home.
Return to the lodge for lunch before crossing into Rwanda and continuing to your lodge near Volcanoes National Park.
Day 7: Golden Monkey Trekking & Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village
After breakfast, report to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your golden monkey trekking experience.
Follow experienced guides into the bamboo forests where these colourful and energetic primates live. Spend one hour observing their playful behaviour and taking memorable photographs.

Day 8: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Day 10: Departure to Kigali
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and enjoy a scenic drive to Kigali.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a brief Kigali city tour, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial or local craft markets.

Day 1 : Transfer to Kibale NP from Entebbe
The driver guide will pick you up from Entebbe International Airport on your arrival and immediately transfer you to Kibale National Park. This is the primate capital of the world with 13 primates including chimpanzees our close relatives. The journey is amazing as you pass in the greenish environment covered with tea plantations, forests and many more others. Arrive after a 6-hour drive for a leisurely dinner and night stay.

Day 2 :Chimpanzee tracking and Isunga Community walk
Wake up and have breakfast which will be followed by a short drive to the park offices for briefing before tracking. During this time, know about the rules and regulations to follow such as don’t feed wild animals, keep a distance from the chimpanzees, don’t mimic, don’t make noise while trekking and more.
The search will begin with the help of the park ranger guide and park escorts in the jungle while spotting birds and wild animals such as vervet monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, Grey cheeked mangabeys and many more others. Meeting a community or group of chimpanzees will reward you with a great experience as you spend an hour following their movements and behaviours. Some of the members will be playing, searching for food, breastfeeding young ones and more.
After the trek, head back to the lodge with a certificate of trekking and enjoy your lunch. Take a community walk through Isunga village where you get a chance to visit 3 crater lakes, tea plantations, coffee gardens and banana plantations. The walk will last for about 3 hours but of great adventure and memory.
Day 3 :Transfer to Rwenzori Mountains NP and begin the hike
Transfer to Rwenzori Mountains National Park as you pass through the Land of Craters (Ndali-Kasenda) crater belt. Make a stopover at the twin lakes of Nyinambuga and Kifuruka. Rwenzori Mountains National Park is a world UNESCO heritage site known to have the highest peak in Uganda, Margherita Peak.
Arrive and be briefed about hiking, register and be assigned with a park ranger, a porter and a chef. Begin the hike as you pass through the Bakonzo homesteads and then through the montane forest. Here, spot some primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, olive baboons and not forgetting different birds such as strange weaver bird, Rwenzori batis, white starred Robin, long-tailed cuckoo and many more others. Spend a night in the mountains.

These days will be spent in the mountains as you explore the beautiful plants, birds, and primates and if you are lucky enough, spot the rare three-horned chameleon. Also, water bodies like crater lakes and rivers will be seen on this trek.

Day 6 : Descend and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Descend further to the starting point and sign out at the park gate where you will meet the driver guide ready to take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park was formerly known as Kazinga Channel National Park and after the visit of Queen Elizabeth, the name changed.
This park is known for diverse wildlife including elephants, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, warthogs, Uganda kobs, lions and more. Arrive and head to the lodge booked for your overnight stay.

Day 7 : Game drive and boat cruise
Wake up in the morning and take a game drive where you get to spot the beauty of this savannah-protected area. The game drive will take you to Kasenyi plains where you expect to meet animals like elephants, leopards, lions, cape buffalos, Uganda kob, hey as, warthogs and many more others. Birds are also spotted such as vultures, hawks, ibises, hornbills and more.
Take an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel where you get to spot aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos, elephants, crocodiles, buffalos, birds like pelicans, fish eagles, egrets, hamerkops, kingfishers and many others. Leave Queen Elizabeth National Park in the morning and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park a home to mpalas and zebras. Day 10 :Drive back to Entebbe, with a stopover at the equator
Head back to Entebbe after breakfast a journey that will last about 3 hours drive. This journey will involve a stopover at the Uganda equator and here, take photos and buy some handmade crafts. Proceed with a journey and be dropped at the airport and this marks the end of the Safari.

Day 2 :Visit Mabamba swamp in search of Shoebill Stork and transfer to Kibale National Park
You will have breakfast at the accommodation and then move out for the Mabamba swamp excursion. The swamp is one of the few places in Uganda that boasts of the opportunity to see the elusive and endangered Shoebill Stork. The bird is most commonly sighted in the morning when they stalk their main prey of mudfish and frogs, but they may be spotted all day. They stand absolutely still for long periods awaiting the movements of their prey and then suddenly strike with a marvelous speed. It’s fascinating to watch the behavior of this elusive bird firsthand in their natural habitat. From Mabamba, you will embark on a transfer to Kibale Forest NP. Day 3 :Chimp habituation Experience – Kibale Forest and Birding Bigodi wetland.
After breakfast you will move to the rangers’ point for a briefing. From here you will proceed for a lifetime experience of Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale Forest. The activity allows you to accompany Kibale Forest’s research and habituation team on their daily routine. You will spend the first half of the day in the presence of these amazing primates – human’s closest relation – and witness them nesting, de-nesting, feeding, playing etc. while getting first hand explanation from the experts on the ground. Return to the accommodation for some rest and lunch before going out again for the Bigodi birding experience. The Bigodi wetland boasts an extensive array of biodiversity among which are several primate species such as Baboon and Black & White Colobus monkey. Day 4 :Morning birding – Kanyanchu or Bigodi (again) and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Rise early, have breakfast and move out for birding in the Kanyanchu area of Kibale Conservation Area. Some bird species spotted in the area may include the Papyrus Gonolek, White-winged Warbler, White-collared Oliveback and Papyrus Canary amongst many others. Return for some rest and lunch at the accommodation, and after lunch, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth NP. If time allows, you can do some afternoon/evening game viewing plus birding before finally heading to the accommodation for check in, dinner and overnight stay. Day 5 :Morning game drive plus birding and Nature walk plus birding Maramagambo Forest
Rise early and after breakfast proceed for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains where you have the chance to spot Lion, Leopard (but hard to spot), herds of Elephants and Buffaloes among many others. You will also be able to spot a number of bird species during the game drive. Return to the accommodation for some rest and lunch. After lunch, move out to explore the nearby Maramagambo Forest. Buzzing with primates including Baboons and several monkey species, the forest is also alive with numerous birds including the rare Forest Flycatcher, White-naped Pigeon and the striking Rwenzori Turaco. Day 6 :Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha sector in search of tree-climbing lions plus occasional birding.
Have breakfast then set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park – famously known for its resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Along the way you will also be birding. From Ishasha, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. With a strenuous day ahead, you will arrive and check into your accommodation for dinner and relaxing as you prepare for the Bwindi Gorilla trekking experience the following day. Day 7 :Gorilla trekking Bwindi Forest. Return, rest and move out for birding.
After breakfast we will move to the rangers’ post where you will receive a briefing (from a ranger guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a Gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation for some rest before going out birding in the nearby area. Day 8 :Birding – the Mubwindi Swamp trail and later transfer to accommodation close to Mgahinga National Park
Rise early, have breakfast and set out for a birding experience along the Mubwindi Swamp trail. The trail offers the opportunity to spot Banded Prinia, Handsome Francolin, African Green Broadbill, Grauer’s Rush Warbler to mention but a few. You will return for lunch at the accommodation. Thereafter, check out and bird your way to the accommodation close to Mgahinga National Park – Kisoro. Day 9 :Golden monkey trekking Mgahinga Forest and Birding – the Gorge Trail between Gahinga and Sabinyo
Although not well known by most travelers, golden monkeys are the second most interesting attraction in Mgahinga after the Mountain Gorillas. Scientifically, these species are called Cercopithecus Kandti and trekking them is what makes for a full tourism package in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The activity starts with a briefing by the ranger guide before trekking this awesome but endangered species of monkeys. Thereafter, take some rest and also have lunch before going out on a birding experience along the Gorge Trail between Gahinga and Sabinyo. The trail offers opportunity to spot Cape Robin-chat, Kivu-Ground Thrush, Olive Thrush, Brown-crowned Tchagra to mention but a few. Thereafter, drive back to the accommodation for dinner and overnight rest. Upon arrival, you will check into the booked accommodation and take some rest before moving out for the walking safari plus birding in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger-guide. On this guided walk, you will have the opportunity to spot Black-bellied Bustard, Emerald-spotted Wood-Dove, Brown headed Parrot, Ross’s Turaco, Bare-faced Go-away-bird, Green Wood Hoopoe to mention but a few. Day 11 :Morning birding – Rubanga Forest and then return to Entebbe to catch return flight out.
You will have breakfast and then set out to explore Rubanga forest. Though small, this tract of forest on the western side of Lake Mburo provides a taste of tropical high forest with a closed canopy. It is home to a variety of forest birds but the rare Red-faced Barbet – only seen in Lake Mburo National Park – is one of the forest’s featured species. More common species which you can see are the Green Pigeon, Narina Trogon and Double-toothed Barbet amongst others. From Rubanga Forest, you will embark on a return journey to Entebbe International Airport to catch your return flight out (recommended for 20:00 onwards). Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Drive to Murchison Falls National Park
Meet your private safari guide at Entebbe International Airport before setting off for Murchison Falls National Park, located in northwestern Uganda. Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Nile River Boat Safari
Begin your day with a game drive across Murchison’s expansive savannah plains. Look out for elephants, lions, buffalos, Jackson’s hartebeest, and Rothschild’s giraffes. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Nile River to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a narrow gorge. A guided hike to the top of the falls offers panoramic views and photo opportunities.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – Scenic Highlands Drive
After breakfast, head southwards to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through tea plantations, crater lakes, and rural communities. Depending on arrival time and interest, optional activities like a Bigodi Wetland walk or a visit to the Amabere Ga Nyina Mwiru caves are available.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Join park rangers for a morning chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. Spend time observing the social behavior and interactions of our closest relatives in their natural habitat. After lunch, continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may opt for a short evening drive or visit the nearby twin crater lakes.

Day 5: Game Drive in Kasenyi Plains – Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the best spots to find lions, elephants, antelope species, and birdlife. In the afternoon, cruise the Kazinga Channel, where animals gather along the banks to drink, cool off, or hunt. Expect to see hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, and vibrant bird species.

Day 6: Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha – Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Travel through the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in search of the famed tree-climbing lions. These lions are often seen lounging in fig trees during the day. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the heart of Uganda’s mountain gorilla conservation efforts. Rest and prepare for the next day’s trek.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing and set off into Bwindi’s dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Spend up to an hour observing the gorillas in their natural environment, guided by expert trackers. After the trek, transfer to the serene Lake Bunyonyi, surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with 29 scenic islands.

Day 8: Return to Entebbe – Stop at the Equator Line

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your professional English-speaking safari guide who will transfer you to your guesthouse in Entebbe. Enjoy a relaxed evening as you receive a comprehensive briefing about your upcoming safari.
Day 2: Drive to Fort Portal – Kibale Forest National Park
Begin your day with an early breakfast before setting off for Fort Portal, located in western Uganda. The drive takes you through the bustling city of Kampala and lush tea plantations with photo stops along the way. Stop for lunch in Fort Portal town and stretch your legs with a short walk around the local food market by the Mpanga River. Later, drive through the scenic Ndali-Kasenda Crater Lakes region before arriving at Rubalika Safari Lodge and Farm for your overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, head to Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing before venturing into the tropical forest in search of chimpanzees. The trekking experience typically lasts 2–3 hours, guided by an expert ranger. Later, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, an important birding site where you may spot the elusive Shoebill Stork, monkeys, and rich flora. The day ends with a community walk and relaxed evening back at the lodge.
Day 4: Vanilla & Coffee Tour – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Spend the morning exploring the lodge’s surrounding farmland with a guided tour of local vanilla and coffee plantations. Enjoy a bush-style breakfast overlooking Kibale Forest near the Dura River. Afterward, check out and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, pausing for photos at the Equator line. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at Mweya Lodge before heading out for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a hotspot for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and abundant birdlife including African Fish Eagles and Pied Kingfishers. Continue to the southern Ishasha sector for a sunset game drive, searching for the famous tree-climbing lions before checking in at Enjojo Lodge.
Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Start the day with a morning wildlife drive through the Ishasha sector. Keep an eye out for elephants, Uganda Kobs, and leopards. After the drive, continue south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Check in at Rushaga Gorilla Lodge.
Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Visit
After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking orientation. You’ll then set off in a small group to locate one of the habituated gorilla families, accompanied by expert trackers and guides. This once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements. After the trek, engage with the Batwa pygmy community and learn about their traditional forest-dwelling lifestyle. Return to the lodge for a restful evening.
Day 7: Scenic Drive to Lake Bunyonyi
Leave Bwindi behind and travel to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic highland lakes. With over 20 small islands and terraced hills, Lake Bunyonyi offers opportunities for canoe excursions to explore local legends and island history. Enjoy a serene lakeside evening and overnight at a comfortable lodge.
Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
After breakfast, travel northeast toward Lake Mburo National Park, passing through Mbarara town for lunch. Upon arrival, check in at Hyena Hill Lodge. Enjoy an evening game drive, spotting animals like zebra, eland, impala, giraffes, and other savannah wildlife before dinner.
Day 9: Walking Safari & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo
Wake up early for a guided walking safari, one of the few such experiences permitted in Uganda’s national parks. This provides a chance to closely observe wildlife on foot. Later, drive to the lake for a boat cruise, watching for hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds along the shoreline. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge.
Day 10: Optional Cycling Experience & Return to Entebbe
Start the day with an optional guided cycling excursion around the park’s outskirts. After breakfast and freshening up, check out and begin your return journey to Entebbe. Pause at the Equator Monument at Kayabwe for a final photo and souvenir shopping opportunity before concluding your safari in Entebbe—either at your preferred hotel or at the airport in time for your departure flight.
