Day 1 : Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After the breakfast Start the drive through Kampala city continue driving stop at ziwa rhino sanctuary for 1 hr walking safaris to be able to Southern white rhinos that have been re-introduced in Uganda.rhino tracking you will proceed to Murchison falls national park the biggest national park in Uganda. Accommodation: Mama Washindi Lodge/Bamboo Eco Lodge (budget level) | Meals: Lunch, Dinner | Drive Time: Approx. 6-7 hours.
Day 2 : Game Drive and Boat Trip
Have early served breakfast. Start the game drive which is a nice drive to the African open savannah which gives you a chance to encounter different mammals species like lions, hyena, leopard, giraffes , elephant, buffalo, Uganda kobs, orib , Jackson heartbeast, waterbuck and identified bird species like African fish Eagle, black crested snake eagle, tailed bee eaters etc. In the afternoon after the game we shall have a boat cruise on the Nile to enjoy the magical Murchison Falls and the crocodiles at the bottom of the falls. Then drive back to the lodge.
Day 3 : Return to Entebbe / Kampala
Have breakfast and start drive back to Entebbe or Kampala you may choose to stop by on the way to Kampala or guests house you will stay in.
Day 1 : Pick up from Entebbe to Bwindi National Park
The Safari will begin with a pick-up from Entebbe International Airport and immediately transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes about 8-9 hours drive including stopovers for scenery viewing. Arrive and check in the booked hotel.
Day 2. Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up and head to the park offices for briefing which will include guidelines to follow while trekking, cross-checking gorilla trekking permits, assignment of the park ranger, allocation into a group of fellow trekkers, hiring porters and more. Trekking will begin with the help of the park ranger and porters. On locating the gorilla family, spend an hour learning their behaviours as you follow them. Expect to meet other attractions like olive baboons, red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys and more. After, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi the second deepest lake in Africa located far Southwestern part of the pearl of Africa. Head to the resort hotel and the day will end with dinner. Lodge: Bunyonyi Rock Resort In the afternoon after the game we shall have a boat cruise on the Nile to enjoy the magical Murchison Falls and the crocodiles at the bottom of the falls. Then drive back to the lodge.
Day 3. Boat cruise and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Take a boat cruise to visit some of the Islands in Lake Bunyonyi and the ones which won’t be missed are Leprosy Island, punishment Island, bwama Island and more. They make a drive to one of the hills to enjoy the beautiful view of the lake that is dotted with islands. Later on, transferred to Lake Mburo National Park the smallest savannah National Park in Uganda though with unique wildlife species like the impala, zebras, elands and more. Arrive and head to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay. Lodge: Rwakobo Rock Lodge
Day 4. Game drive and head back to Entebbe
Have a morning game drive in the park when you expect to meet animals like impalas, Zebras, Elands, Buffalos, Oribis, Hyenas, Topis, Waterbucks, Leopards, Warthogs and more. This experience can last for 2 to 3 hours. Have optional activities like boat cruises, sport biking, horseback riding, nature walks and more. Later on, head back to Entebbe with a route stopover at the Uganda equator for lunch, photos and experiment. Be dropped at Entebbe International Airport to mark the end of your 4 Days Safari.

At Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve, there are excellent opportunities to observe four species of monkeys—including the acrobatic Black-and-White Colobus, Red Colobus, Red-Tailed Monkeys, and playful Vervet Monkeys—within their natural forest habitat. Nature trails wind through the reserve, offering a peaceful walking experience under the forest canopy.
The tour continues with a scenic hike to the “Top of the World” viewpoint, one of the region’s most iconic panoramic spots. From here, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of three distinct crater lakes, the lush canopy of Kibale National Park, the Rwenzori foothills, Queen Elizabeth National Park in the distance, and the urban landscape of Fort Portal City.

The day concludes with a rewarding hike down to Mahoma Waterfalls, a pristine cascade nestled in the rainforest and fed by glacial waters from the Rwenzori Mountains, Africa’s third highest mountain range. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Fort Portal at 6:40 AM. From here, you’ll travel 26 kilometers to the main entrance of Kibale National Park, home to one of the highest densities of chimpanzees in East Africa and over 13 species of primates.
Upon arrival, entry permits will be processed, and you’ll proceed another 10 kilometers into the heart of the forest to the Kanyanchu Visitor Center. Here, you’ll register and attend a 15-minute orientation session led by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) guides, who will brief you on the chimpanzee tracking guidelines and safety measures.
At exactly 8:00 AM, your chimpanzee tracking experience begins. Led by professional park rangers, you will follow established trails through Kibale’s dense tropical rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee families. The rangers stay in radio contact with trackers who have already located chimpanzee groups earlier in the morning.
Depending on the location of the chimpanzees, the trek might begin directly from Kanyanchu or require a short drive deeper into the forest to a specific trailhead. The trek lasts approximately 3 hours, offering opportunities to see chimpanzees grooming, feeding, calling to each other, or playing in the tree canopies.
Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to spot other forest dwellers such as:
- Red-tailed monkeys
- Black-and-white colobus monkeys
- Grey-cheeked mangabeys
- Blue monkeys
- Forest birds including turacos and hornbills
After the tracking activity, your tour guide will drive you back to Fort Portal, with the trip concluding by early afternoon—typically around 12:00
Your journey begins early in the morning at 6:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Fort Portal. From here, you’ll travel approximately 90 kilometers to the Uganda Equator landmark, a perfect stop for photography and a short educational moment about the Earth’s hemispheres.
The road then leads you toward the northern entrance of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where the landscape opens to wide views of Lake George, Kikorongo, and the sprawling savannah that characterizes the park. At the entrance, park fees are settled and your wildlife journey officially begins at around 8:00 AM.
The morning game drive takes you through the Kasenyi Plains, an area well known for its concentration of wildlife. With the help of an experienced safari guide, you’ll search for some of the Big Four—African lions, savannah elephants, leopards, and Cape buffalo—along with numerous other species such as Uganda kobs, warthogs, hyenas, and a variety of birdlife. The game drive lasts around 4 to 5 hours, with a stop in Kasenyi village where you’ll enjoy a local breakfast and browse handmade crafts from local artisans.
After the game viewing experience, your journey continues 21 kilometers to the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Here, you will have lunch at a scenic spot near Mweya Safari Lodge, offering great views and time to relax before the afternoon boat activity.
At 3:00 PM, you’ll board a 2-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, renowned for hosting one of the largest concentrations of hippos in Africa, alongside Nile crocodiles, buffalo, elephants, and a stunning variety of water birds including African fish eagles, kingfishers, and pelicans. The cruise spans a 41-kilometer stretch, making it an excellent opportunity for photography and close-up wildlife viewing.
By 5:00 PM, the boat returns to Mweya, and you’ll begin your drive back to Fort Portal, arriving at your hotel by approximately 8:00 PM.
